From Pit
The Pit compiler, documentation (including text on this wiki), and accompanying language and system libraries (including libc wrappers) are dual-licensed under a BSD'ish or GPL license. I don't want to lock out GPL or BSD software from linking with these libraries. This compiler should be free to use in any way, and I honestly think we as an industry shoot ourselves in the foot every time a piece of "free" software has to be rewritten for no better reason than licensing. Software isn't really all that "free" if someone has to go rewriting it just because some geezers are arguing over GPL vs BSD.
